Brett + Melissa’s Beautiful October Wedding
After an amazing summer, our wedding season has come to an end and what better way to wrap it up than with Brett & Melissa’s wedding! I had looked forward to this day all year- as I do for all of their sessions. There was no way their wedding wouldn’t be perfect!
We weren’t too sure what kind of weather the day would bring but fortunately we lucked out with a steady overcast. It was a bit chilly, especially for the girls, but we somehow managed to avoid snow so that was a bonus. The fallen leaves and moody skies brought beautiful tones to the images and we even had time to get creative with external lighting & smoke grenades! For anyone considering an October wedding, I’d say go for it! But definitely bring mitts and a coat.
Melissa did an amazing job coordinating her wedding colors and choosing locations. The Dickson Danish Museum had a neat church and an old house that made for great backdrops. At our second location, we found a beautiful old road lined with thick trees where we got creative and put together some dramatic shots. Further up the trail there was a small, dilapidated outbuilding that had red tones and blended perfectly with the autumn colors around us. Every little detail of their day worked so well together!
Thank you so much for having us be a part of your wedding, it was a perfect day and I look forward to all of the milestones to come ♡
Enjoy!

Friends, I’ve now decided that no wedding is complete without a groomsmen taking it upon himself to sing a very close and uncomfortable happy birthday to the bride. Hands down, one of the funnier wedding shenanigans I’ve ever seen.
